Heinz
They're definitely already trying very hard to have sustainable products. With their bottles being made from plant material instead of fossil fuels which are very much unsustainable.

a good material?

Bridgestone has launched a new project on sustainable rubber, using Guayule shrub instead of the Hevea tree as another and maybe better source.
(maybe a possible material for bottles?)

Annie Leonards 'story of stuff'
Summary: Annie Leonard attempts to campaign on how we use our resources today. She explains that recycling is good, but just not good enough any more to tackle the problems we have today. This includes consumption, waste, corporations and natural resources.

Aldo
Recycled shoe packaging
Example- aldo now give shoe boxes as bags
so there is no bag and just a box with a handle. Bought myself a pair in NYC :D
Same idea I had I found!
"The PureProject line is a dramatic departure for Brooks Running. As such, it required an equally dramatic unveiling. Fashioned from bamboo by Dave Laubenthal at DJL Studio, the kit embodies the sustainable ethos of the PureProject line. The laser-etched lid lifts off to reveal 2 brochures and 4 raindrop-shaped canisters with branded caps. (Illustrator Jake Hollomon provided the graphic for the lid.)
The individual canisters may be removed and re-used in various ways. This kit is designed to be a keepsake, with no material going to waste.
Two brochures fit within: the product-centric booklet features exquisite photography from acclaimed fashion accessory photographer Kenji Toma. It's accompanied by a tongue-in-cheek instruction manual for creative upcycling of the kit. A quirky cast of characters, illustrated by Tyler Marchus, demonstrates various ways to re-use the elements."

Puma
Pumas new way of selling shoes, a removable inside cardboard piece which is connected by folds and no other materials!
Sustainable packaging
I had the same idea as this person!... maybe i'll develop it...yes?!
Most shoes aren't perfectly square, so why should their packaging be? That's the question answered by this slick package for Newton running shoes, which use molded recycled cardboard -- a material similar to egg cartons -- to create a size-sensible package for a pair of shoes. And, instead of stuffing them with useless paper packing, they put a pair of socks in one shoe, and a reusable shoe bag in the other.

I felt that the three most notable points about CAT itself were its innovative sustainable design. Examples of this include a chair back made from pennies which was in the entrance of the gift shop. Secondly the cork building which would insulate a building very well. Last of all the ability to grow a range of plants that can be used in cooking and keeping the environment healthy such as brussel sprouts.
Ideas that I may bring forward are looking into the books and information available about the eco centre. I feel this would help with research and maybe give me more to work with.
